Loyalty Methods vs Talon.One

One platform of record for members, money, and incentives

ReactorCX holds the member record, the point ledger, and the promotion logic in one engine, so every incentive decision reads the same data your finance team reconciles at close. It is built for enterprises that run loyalty across several brands and partners, where a member earning at one banner and redeeming at another has to remain one balance and one record.

Where ReactorCX is built differently

Each difference below is documented on Loyalty Methods' public pages and linked at its source.

Liability reporting your controller can reconcile

Loyalty points create deferred revenue, and at close someone has to defend the number. ReactorCX reports liability accrual and redemption lineage, breakage and expiration behavior, and partner billing and settlement outputs, with transaction-level exports for reconciliation. Every liability figure traces back to an originating member activity.

One member record across every brand

Multi-brand programs strain when each banner keeps its own member database. ReactorCX runs multiple currency types and point purses per brand as sub-balances inside one member wallet, and resolves mixed baskets at the line item for brand-level accounting. Gap Inc. runs Encore this way across Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta, with each brand keeping its own earning rules and books.

Offers decided against the ledger in real time

A single checkout can qualify for a dozen overlapping offers, and something has to decide which of them apply. The ReactorCX engine evaluates every valid combination and returns the optimal allocation in sub-second time, under customer-first, business-first, or vendor-protected arbitration policies. Earn and discount resolve in one call, so the register receives one answer. Program teams validate rule changes in a stage environment with program versioning before anything reaches production.

Loyalty Methods vs Talon.One FAQs

How do we migrate from Talon. One to ReactorCX?
SafeSwitch™ runs ReactorCX in parallel with your current platform, forwards production traffic to both, and compares the results transaction by transaction. Rule audits and performance tests run before any member sees the new system. Routing flips once the two systems agree, with rollback paths kept open. ThreadSync™ organizes the build as parallel workstreams, so the program is complete and tested before the parallel run begins.
What happens to member tier status and transaction history during a migration?
Both survive intact. SafeSwitch™ runs the new platform in parallel with the old one, processing the same qualifying transactions in shadow so balances, tier status, and member state reconcile between systems before anything changes for members, then completes the cutover with zero downtime. Full transaction history migrates rather than being summarized or truncated.
Can we run promotions for shoppers who are not loyalty members?
Yes. The same discount and arbitration engine prices every shopper at the point of sale, account or no account, so BOGO, mix-and-match, combo pricing, promo codes, and cents-per-gallon rollbacks run for guests as well as members. When the shopper is a member, earning resolves on the same transaction in the same call.
Do you integrate with our commerce stack (POS, ecommerce, CRM, data warehouse)?
ReactorCX is headless, API-first, and event-driven, and Loyalty Methods describes it as integrating into an existing enterprise stack rather than replacing it. Loyalty activity flows through APIs and event streams, so POS, ecommerce, CRM, and data platforms consume the same events the loyalty engine acts on.
What does Loyalty Methods do differently than Talon. One?
Both platforms decide promotions in real time. The difference is what the decision is written against. Talon. One is an incentives engine: loyalty is a program object enabled per campaign, and its audit trail records who changed which rule. ReactorCX is the record itself: members, tiers, currencies, partner accrual, and liability in one ledger, so a redemption traces to the specific accruals it consumed, and promotions decide against the same balances that finance reports on.
